Meghan Wilson, Del Val Eagles Soccer Ministry

Posted

In Chester, Pennsylvania, a local soccer ministry is using the game to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people throughout the community. Through the Delaware Valley Eagles, children gather each week to play soccer, build friendships, and experience encouragement both on and off the field. Practices focus on teaching fundamental skills such as passing, dribbling, and teamwork while creating a fun and supportive environment for kids of all backgrounds.

While the program develops soccer skills, the mission reaches far beyond the sport itself. At the end of every session, coaches gather the players together to share a short message about the gospel and spend time praying with them. These moments allow kids to hear about the love of Jesus and provide opportunities for meaningful conversations about faith. By building relationships with players and their families, the ministry seeks to invest not only in athletic development but also in character, confidence, and spiritual growth. For many children in the area, the program offers a positive place where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued.

As the program continues to grow, the Delaware Valley Eagles hope to reach even more children and families throughout the Chester community. We are seeking local individuals who would like to support the mission through financial giving, helping provide equipment, training opportunities, and resources needed to expand the program.

You can contact mwilson@delvaleagles.com for more information. Through the simple game of soccer and the dedication of volunteer coaches, the ministry is helping bring encouragement, mentorship, and the message of Jesus to the next generation.
