A letter from Upper Makefield Business Association

Posted

Dear UMBA Supporters,

As we look ahead to 2026, I want to extend heartfelt thanks on  behalf of the Upper Makefield Business Association (UMBA), our Executive Board and our  dedicated membership, to the many sponsors, runners, suppliers, and volunteers who make our  work possible. Your generous support—through volunteerism, participation, funding, and  encouragement—has helped us thrive as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and enter our 59th year of service  to the community.

RevRun 2025: A Record-Breaking Year

Our signature event, the Revolutionary Run (RevRun), held annually on July 4th, reached new heights in its 43rd year. We had more than 80 volunteers, over 1,400 runners and 39 sponsors, including long-time Platinum Sponsors Capital Health and Team Toyota. This year’s RevRun set records in both gross and net revenue with over $102,000 raised. With 2026 marking the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we’re planning a commemorative celebration and  hope to surpass these milestones.

Honoring Ed McAllister

We also hosted our bi-annual “Life Is Good” event in memory of our dear friend and UMBA  member Ed McAllister, who passed away in 2021. His legacy continues to inspire our work and  community spirit. Total net proceeds from this event were $25,000.

UMBA Coat Drive Success

Our annual Coat Drive collected over 300 coats, gloves, scarves, and winter apparel for those in  need in our community as well as a Philadelphia school community. Special thanks to our local  partners—Colonial Farms, Seasons Garden Center, Dominick’s Pizza, AKA Salon, First  National Bank of Newtown, Dunkin’ Donuts, eXp Realty, Starbucks (Newtown/Yardley), Upper  Makefield Police Department, Upper Makefield Fire Department, and Upper Makefield  Township—for hosting collection bins.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re excited to continue our mission in 2026 and hope you’ll join us in making it our most  impactful year yet. Your support fuels our ability to serve and uplift our community.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, healthy, and prosperous New Year. Warm regards,
