Fall is just around the corner, and New Hope is giving art lovers plenty of reasons to get outside and explore.
The 32nd Annual New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival returns Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, bringing more than 160 juried artists and craftspeople to New Hope–Solebury High School for a weekend celebrating creativity, community and the arts.
From oil paintings and watercolors to ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, photography, glass, fiber, woodwork and wearable art, the festival will showcase an eclectic mix of work from artists working across a wide range of mediums.
Hands-on demonstrations will offer a closer look at the creative process, and kids’ activities will take place throughout both days.
Food vendors include Aroi Mango, Coastal Flavors, Viva Mexico, Justin's Joint, Nessie Tea and Traveling Tom's Coffee. There will also be live music throughout the festival.
Now in its 32nd year, the New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival has become one of the region’s most anticipated fall arts events, drawing thousands of visitors to a town long associated with artists, makers and creative expression.
“New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival really represents what makes New Hope special," said Michael Sklar, President of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce. "We have this incredible history as an arts community, and for 32 years this festival has brought artists, residents and visitors together to celebrate that."
“It’s a great opportunity to spend the day in New Hope, discover incredible original art, enjoy live music and food, and then explore everything our downtown businesses have to offer," Sklar added.
The 32nd Annual New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27, at New Hope–Solebury High School, 180 W. Bridge Street, in New Hope.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine. Admission is a $5 donation.
The festival takes place in the parking lot of New Hope–Solebury High School, just a short walk from downtown New Hope.
A complimentary shuttle will run from the festival parking lots to South Main Street at the Bucks County Playhouse, giving visitors an easy way to get between the festival and the heart of New Hope’s business district.
